NB Swims 2025

Thanks to a generous grant, we are now able to offer these lessons free of charge. Registrants can elect to donate an amount of their choosing to offset future costs of NB Swims programming.

NB SWIM 2025
New Bedford Parks, Recreation and Beaches along with New Bedford Public Schools is excited to launch our first session of swim lessons. Swim lessons will be held at the newly renovated New Bedford High School Pool. Swim lessons are open to New Bedford residents and/or New Bedford Public School students who are in grades K - 5.

Dear Families,
Thank you for signing up for our swim lessons! It has been a pleasure to help fulfill our mission of providing accessible swim instruction to the children of New Bedford.
There is one week remaining in the session:
Wednesday, 6/18
Thursday, 6/19 (lessons will be held despite the holiday)
Unfortunately, we will not be able to make up the canceled lesson from 6/13 .
Thank you again, and please keep an eye out for another round of lessons this fall.
In the meantime, free swim lessons are available this summer at New Bedford city beaches—visit the Recreation Department website for details.
