These coach training opportunities are available for both new and experienced coaches and are supported through two separate grant initiatives provided by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA)

Million Coaches Challenge

These trainings equip both new and seasoned coaches with tools focused on positive youth development, helping coaches build strong relationships with athletes, promote teamwork, and create safe and supportive sports environments.
Participants will receive hands-on training, take part in workshops, and have the opportunity to earn coaching certifications.
Compensation is also available for eligible participants.
Participation in these trainings helps ensure that all coaches are prepared to provide a positive, inclusive, and development focused experience for youth and participants in our programs.

Positive Coaching Workshop

Join us for the Positive Coaching Alliance Workshop and take your coaching to the next level! Participants will receive a certificate from Positive Coaching Alliance upon completion of the training.

5:30 - 7:30 PM
Buttonwood Park Community Center

The first 30 attendees will receive a FREE $50 Amazon Gift Card and all who attend will be entered into raffles for exciting prizes, including:

FREE 3 hours of gym time at the Andrea McCoy Recreation Center or any of our courts/fields
Additional raffle prizes throughout the workshop

This is a great opportunity for both new and experienced coaches to gain hands-on training, strengthen leadership skills, and help create a positive youth sports environment in our community.
