This camp is a great Introduction to Field Hockey. It is perfect for youth that are new to the sport and looking to just have some fun. The week will include learning about the basic rules of the sport, techniques, modified game play, and the positions on the field. The youth will do lots of agility and mobility exercises, stretches and yoga, with lots of skillwork to serve youth who are trying out for a team in the fall, so they are prepared and confident and will have fun in a nurturing environment.
Juliet Loranger is a local yoga and movement teacher and trainer. She is the head Field Hockey coach at Fairhaven High School. She works with youth year round through her nonprofit organization, Good Company New Bedford.
