The City of New Bedford Division of Recreation and Scouting America Narragansett Council partnered to create a fun-filled day of fishing, outdoor recreation, and family activities at historic Fort Taber!
Whether you're casting a line for the very first time or you're an experienced angler, this free event welcomes participants of all ages and skill levels.
To ensure everyone has a chance to fish, participants will register for a 30-minute fishing session. Sessions begin every 30 minutes between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM, with 15 participants per group.

Fishing equipment and instruction will be available, making this a perfect opportunity for beginners to learn the basics while enjoying New Bedford's beautiful waterfront.
When you're not fishing, stick around and enjoy a variety of exciting outdoor activities provided by Scouting America Narragansett Council, including an inflatable Gaga Ball arena, inflatable archery range, knot-tying demonstrations, and other hands-on scouting activities for the whole family.
