Play in the Park: Summer Food Program

2012 – Page 20 – New Bedford Guide

Play in the Park runs in various parks throughout the city each summer. Parks, Recreation and Beaches staff serve free meals to kids and teens 18 and under, and offer a wide variety of activities to kids in the park. Activities include sports, arts and crafts, board games, team building challenges and more!

The Play in the Park program has been running since the 1960's, providing free, nutritious meals, and helping kids and teens get active and form friendships in the parks.
